The guide offers information about the certificate needed to demonstrate possession of valid liability car insurance for foreign depot vehicles entering the area of the Hungarian Republic and vehicles travelling abroad with a Hungarian registration number.

If you plan to travel abroad, you should apply for a Green Card, a document certifying you have international MTPL, from your insurance company before travelling. While you are on abroad, the valid Green Card must remain in your possession due to British law. British authorities are entitled to check for the proper documentation at any point. Failure to provide the Green Card could likely result in complications and delay in your travel. You can apply for the Green Card at the insurance company where you, the policyholder, have an MTPL insurance policy.
